Reliable electric motor for high loads
The wood pellet press is powered by a powerful 7.5 kW electric motor designed to withstand high loads during continuous operation without overheating. As the motor is electric, it is recommended that the wood pellet press is always kept and used indoors where it is not exposed to rain and moisture. Despite electricity prices that are not always very favourable, the machine is economical to run. If the price of electricity were to rise to around SEK 10 per kWh, the operating cost would be less than SEK 75 per hour, while the machine produces 120-200 kilos of fine wood pellets. By comparison, you can't even get a 16kg bag of pellets for SEK 75.
The engine is largely maintenance-free, but the reduction gear is lubricated with transmission oil (85W-90 or 85W-140), suitable transmission oils are available at, for example, Mekonomen and Biltema. More on this in the user manual.
Easy to assemble
The wood pellet press comes in a sturdy wooden box so as not to be damaged in the delivery to your home. Assembly and running-in of the machine are very simple steps, in practice only the ejector plate, hopper and wheels are assembled by you. Due to the weight of the machine, it does not hurt to be two people when mounting the wheels. After assembly, the machine must be lubricated and is then ready to be started up for the first run. Everything and more is listed in the product manual.Easy to use
The pellets are produced under heat and high pressure in the machine's rolling mill. The high heat required for the process is created by friction from the rollers pressing against the die. The pressure is created when the hot pellet mass is pressed down through the conical holes of the die. These two aspects make the pellets formed hard and shiny. Completely on par with purchased pellets.
The base material, i.e. the sawdust, must always be fine. The equipment is not capable of handling wood chips. In addition to this, the sawdust must have a moisture content of around 10-16 % in order for pellets to be formed. The optimum moisture content varies slightly from species to species. Generally speaking, hardwood binds at a lower moisture content (around 8-10 %) while softwood binds at a slightly higher one (12-16%). Don't forget that we are available by phone and email on weekdays to help you if you need tips or advice with your equipment.

Positive features of the press are high capacity, ease of handling and fairly quiet operation.
Negative is the high weight, almost impossible to mount the wheels alone. Had to ask two mates for help.
Not used for sawdust. Works well for the production of feed. Estimates about 400 kg of pellets per hour.
